Client: The City of Somerville
Objective: To create a new product
Developed a new educational concept by designing a federally funded pilot program whereby high school students were taught to be teacher aides in a nursery school held on the high school campus.
Students planned activities for the nursery school students and kept journals of behavioral observations. These observations were then used to help the high school students understand their own behavior.
Results: The quality of life for thousands of nursery and secondary students improved.
The program became the prototype for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It was commended by the New England Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
