“Very Special Events”

Client: The Harvard Club of Boston

Objective: To increase sales and use of the club through creative product use.

Directed and organized Spring Into Secrets of Wine, Food, and the Mediterranean Lifestyle, an evening with experts on the Mediterranean diet, and The French Paradox with dinner.

The French Paradox, as discussed by the Chief of Preventive Medicine, Boston University School of Medicine, was made famous on CBS's 60 Minutes, when Morley Safer explored the fact that the French outlive Americans and suffer 40% fewer heart attacks.

Organized and planned two slide show presentations where Curators from the Museum of Fine Arts presented a preview of the exhibitions Impressions of France: Monet, Renoir, Pisasso and their Rivals and The Winslow Homer Exhibition.

Organized and planned Queen of Back Bay, a show written and performed by Robin Lane illustrating the life of Isabella Stewart Gardner.

Organized a series of three lectures on Women and Wellness with speakers from Canyon Ranch. Secured two “Days of Beauty” as prizes.

Acted as facilitator for “Conversations With…”, a dinner series where prominent club members shared their expertise informally. Also wrote brochure copy for these events.

Results: Enrollment increased by 25%.
